Walnut Valley Quilters Guild

May Meeting: Mark your calendars for Monday, May 9, 5:30 p.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church in Arkansas City when we “WELCOME” our speaker Liz Granberg-Jerome from Balwin City KS. Liz is a custom quilter, designer, and teacher. Her passion for quilting began in 2006, although she has been sewing and crafting since she was a small child. Liz has made a name for herself by creating the Hexified Panel Quilt, which is a twist on the One Block Wonder technique. For our program, she will talk about UFO’s, Orphans and More! New ways to look at shop-hop blocks and projects that just didn’t go as planned. Hopefully she can show us some new takes on those projects in our stash that we keep shoving to the bottom of the drawer. Liz lives in Baldwin City, KS with her husband, Leslie, where they enjoy quilting alongside each other in their home studio. Come and Welcome Liz and Leslie to the Walnut Valley Quilt Guild!

Purpose

The purpose of the guild is to stimulate an interest in quilts, to promote and advance the art of quiltmaking, and to conduct educational programs and services in the design and techniques of quiltmaking.
