Program - Reeze Hanson “ ODD BLOCKS, SETTINGS THAT ROCK”
Reeze Hanson, quilter, pattern designer, lecturer, teacher, EQ retailer and Professor of Communication Studies. Reeze Hanson teaches a variety of EQ7 classes and workshops throughout the Midwest. A college professor in Lawrence, KS, she also teaches quilting classes at Quilting Bits and Pieces in Eudora.
Ever wonder what to do with a set of blocks? This hands-on lecture will teach techniques for working
with odd blocks and provide lots of sample settings to turn those Odd blocks into amazing and innovative quilts.
We will be taking Reeze to eat at College Hill Coffee at 5:00 p.m. Please join us.
Comfort Quilt sewing will be held at 10am for those that can help. Bring your sewing machine. Fabric and patterns provided.
A workshop will be held with Reeze on Sunday Oct. 12 at Field to Fabric Quilt Co. beginning at 1pm. The workshop will focus on One Patch Piecing Techniques and will feature the Accu-Quilt die cutter. Contact Chris Todd at 620-446-1831 for additional information. Cost is $25.
Board of Directors meeting - Monday, October 20 at 5:30pm at The Eatery in Winfield, KS. Any guild member is welcome to attend the board meeting.
The purpose of the guild is to stimulate an interest in quilts, to promote and advance the art of quiltmaking, and to conduct educational programs and services in the design and techniques of quiltmaking.

WVQG meets the second Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Having two meetings enables most members to attend regardless of work and family schedules. Meetings are scheduled alternately between Winfield, KS and Arkansas City, KS since our members come from a wide area.
