Regular Guild meeting - September 8, 2014 at 1st United Methodist in Arkansas City at 1pm and 6:30pm.

Program - Ronnie Elmore "Log Cabin Tales"

Log Cabin Tales is an exciting new trunk show and lecture presenting the history, design and construction of Log Cabin Quilts.

Ronnie Elmore, a university professor and veterinarian, has been piecing Log Cabin quilt tops since 2005 in both traditional and contemporary settings.  He has created many of his own settings and has a series of quilts designed to pay tribute to our country.  Ronnie and his wife Carol have lectured at the AQS show in Paducah and throughout the United States.  Ronnie has a great appreciation for quilts and the people who make them.

Whether you are a traditional or modern quilter, you won’t want to miss this program.  Bring a friend.

We will be taking Ronnie to eat at El Maguey’s Mexican Food Restaurant at 5:00 p.m.

Comfort Quilt sewing will be held at 9am for those that can help. Bring your sewing machine. Fabric and patterns provided.
